About the Role
You will improve supplier processes, quality, delivery, and cost performance. You will conduct supplier audits, investigate root causes, provide technical manufacturing guidance, mitigate supply-chain risks, and support supplier readiness for new product introductions.
Requirements
- 10+ years of supply chain, manufacturing engineering, or process engineering experience
- CAD experience, including SolidWorks, NX, or CATIA
- Excel and data analysis skills
- PLM or ERP systems experience
- Ability to travel up to 50%, including internationally
- Ability to confidently read drawings and GD&T
- Knowledge of machining, welding, and forming processes
- Experience leading root-cause investigations using 8D and 5 Whys
- Experience working with suppliers or production lines
Responsibilities
- Audit supplier processes to identify cost, lead-time, and quality improvements
- Conduct on-site audits to identify root causes of supplier quality and performance issues
- Assess and improve supplier capabilities
- Provide technical guidance on part specifications, manufacturing processes, standards, and quality measures
- Track supplier delivery, quality, and cost metrics
- Implement corrective actions and continuous-improvement plans
- Identify and mitigate supply-chain risks
- Support supplier quality and delivery readiness for new product introductions
