About the Role
Join Robinhood’s Command Center reliability team to lead incident response, improve operational excellence, and build reliability tooling across the company’s infrastructure.
Requirements
- 5+ years of software engineering experience, including operating production systems
- 2+ years focused on reliability engineering, infrastructure, distributed systems, or production operations
- Hands-on incident leadership experience
- Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration skills during high-severity incidents
- Deep knowledge of reliability, observability, and fault-tolerant architecture
- Experience with multi-region or multi-cluster architectures, capacity planning, and failover strategies
- Familiarity with OpenTelemetry, Prometheus, and Grafana
- Ability to drive measurable improvements in MTTD, MTTR, availability, or customer impact
Responsibilities
- Lead incident response and coordinate cross-functional teams during outages
- Define incident management processes, postmortems, and post-incident governance
- Develop dashboards and alerts for critical user journeys, availability, and business impact
- Drive MTTD and MTTR improvements through incident response tooling and processes
- Own incident discovery and maintain a source of truth during active incidents
- Mentor teams on monitoring, observability, and reliability practices
- Deliver executive-level reporting on service quality and reliability
- Design failure mitigation strategies and support multi-region reliability planning
