About the Role
You will design, build, and scale distributed backend services for public-sector cloud environments. You will optimize compute, storage, networking, and service resilience, and work with production engineering to meet security and compliance requirements.
Requirements
- Hold a current TS/SCI clearance or an eligible re-activatable clearance
- Bachelor's, master's, or PhD degree in Computer Science or a related field
- 6+ years of professional software development experience
- Understanding of distributed systems, concurrency, and performance optimization
- Production experience with Java, Scala, Go, or C++
- Experience building and deploying large-scale SaaS or cloud-native applications
Responsibilities
- Design and implement highly available backend services
- Build scalable services for sovereign and air-gapped cloud environments
- Solve architectural trade-offs involving concurrency, storage, and networking
- Optimize compute efficiency for specialized regions
- Partner with production engineering to meet security, compliance, and availability requirements
