About the Role

Join Carta's Developer Experience team to remove friction from the software delivery lifecycle. Build MCP servers, agents, plugin infrastructure, AI tooling infrastructure, and CI/CD systems while mentoring engineers and raising the technical bar.

Requirements

  • 8+ years in platform, backend, or fullstack engineering.
  • Experience shipping production LLM systems such as MCP servers or clients, AI extensions, connectors, or agents.
  • Experience building platforms with strong API design and developer ergonomics.
  • Proficiency in Python or Java.
  • Experience with CI/CD tooling such as CircleCI, GitHub Actions, ArgoCD, Jenkins, or Docker.
  • Experience with AWS, Terraform, and Kubernetes.
  • Awareness of least-privilege, token lifecycle, and supply chain security risks.
  • Ability to break down ambiguous problems and deliver with minimal guidance.

Responsibilities

  • Build MCP servers, agents, and plugin infrastructure for Carta's AI-native development.
  • Define patterns and infrastructure that other engineers build on.
  • Design and ship agents that solve developer problems across the software delivery lifecycle.
  • Architect and drive CI/CD pipelines for automated build, test, and deployment.
  • Build infrastructure for AI tooling and developer platforms.
  • Mentor engineers and provide code reviews and architectural guidance.
