About the Role
You will take ownership of platform projects and improve operational efficiency. You will design and implement cloud solutions, automate infrastructure management and delivery pipelines, strengthen cloud governance and security, and monitor hybrid-cloud environments. You will provision, configure, upgrade, and support Kubernetes, Spark, Kafka, and distributed databases while evaluating architectures and exploring cloud-native technologies.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
- 5+ years of experience in Platform Engineering, Cloud Engineering, SRE, DevOps, or related infrastructure roles
- Deep experience deploying, operating, and scaling production Kubernetes, including on-premise clusters and Amazon EKS
- Strong AWS cloud infrastructure expertise; GCP experience is a plus
- Advanced Terraform and Infrastructure as Code expertise, including reusable modules, state management, and platform automation
- Experience building and operating highly available, scalable, and secure cloud-native platforms
- Knowledge of observability, including monitoring, logging, alerting, and operational troubleshooting
- Experience designing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines and modern software delivery practices
- Strong Linux systems administration and troubleshooting skills in distributed production environments
- Automation and scripting proficiency with Python, Bash, or similar languages
- Experience with Amazon RDS, Aurora, Redshift, and DynamoDB
- Ability to lead technical initiatives, influence architectural decisions, and mentor engineers
- Communication and collaboration skills across engineering, operations, and business teams
- Ability to respond quickly and accurately to changing market conditions and solve math and coding problems
Responsibilities
- Ensure cloud services across AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud follow best practices
- Manage public-cloud growth and improve the hybrid-cloud operating model
- Evaluate proposed solution architectures and provide recommendations
- Provision, configure, upgrade, and monitor Kubernetes, Spark, Kafka, and large-scale distributed databases
- Automate infrastructure management and development pipelines using Terraform, Ansible, Jenkins, and GitLab
- Explore cloud-native and container ecosystem technologies
- Monitor systems, clusters, and cloud deployments for errors and performance
- Create and maintain performant and reliable production systems
