About the Role

You will own core backend services for credit products end to end. You will design, build, and operate services covering loan origination, underwriting, repayment, and collections. You will make architectural decisions, maintain production reliability and correctness, translate credit requirements into maintainable code, use AI coding tools to improve delivery and test coverage, and review others’ work.

Requirements

  • Strong backend engineering experience in Go
  • Meaningful fintech experience
  • Exposure to credit products such as lending, underwriting, repayment, or collections
  • Knowledge of distributed systems design, event-driven architecture, service boundaries, data consistency, and failure modes
  • Commitment to correctness and data integrity
  • Ability to work autonomously in an evolving environment

Responsibilities

  • Design, build, and operate high-reliability backend services for credit products
  • Make independent architectural decisions on data residency, service boundaries, and loan-lifecycle state machines
  • Instrument, monitor, debug, and maintain services in production
  • Translate credit-domain requirements into clean, testable, maintainable code with product and compliance stakeholders
  • Use AI coding tools to accelerate delivery and improve test coverage
  • Review others’ work and help establish engineering practices
