About the Role

You will design, build, and own core components of Stellar Core, including scalable distributed-system architectures and subsystems. You will write maintainable C++ or Rust code, investigate and refactor performance bottlenecks, conduct design and code reviews, and author technical feature and protocol RFC specifications.

Requirements

  • 4+ years of software development experience on a team.
  • Bachelor's or master's degree in Computer Science or an equivalent field.
  • Production experience with modern C++ or Rust.
  • Understanding of software design patterns and reusable, extensible, modular components.
  • Knowledge of development best practices and tools.
  • Performance debugging and benchmarking skills.

Responsibilities

  • Design and build key components of Stellar Core.
  • Develop robust, scalable, and extensible technologies for developers and network participants.
  • Collaborate on new architectures and subsystems.
  • Write clean, maintainable code with edge-case analysis and future-proofing.
  • Own core subsystems and help deliver critical product milestones.
  • Contribute to code reviews, design reviews, and engineering best practices.
  • Investigate and refactor performance bottlenecks.
  • Author technical feature and protocol RFC specifications.
