About the Role
You will build and maintain high-performance platform services, reusable core libraries, API gateways, and low-latency messaging infrastructure. You will solve distributed-systems challenges involving correctness, ordering, recovery, regional resilience, deployment, and real-time market-data distribution. You will lead technical decisions and deliver projects from design through rollout and long-term operations.
Requirements
- 7+ years of backend engineering experience
- Deep proficiency in Go, C++, Java, Rust, or similar systems languages
- Experience owning large-scale distributed systems from design through deployment, scaling, and operations
- Knowledge of concurrency primitives, memory layout, I/O models, database design, network protocols, and performance implications
- Experience designing systems with correctness guarantees for ordering, consistency, and durability
- Experience leading technical decisions, defining architecture, and making trade-offs
- Ability to diagnose latency issues at the socket or disk layer
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain high-performance platform services, API gateways, and core libraries
- Build and evolve Aeron-based messaging infrastructure for reliable, low-latency communication
- Solve distributed-systems problems involving ordering, determinism, zero-downtime deployment, active-active architectures, and crash-consistent recovery
- Ensure platform primitives meet throughput and latency requirements for real-time trading workflows and market-data distribution
- Provide reusable service infrastructure for scalable, reliable, and cost-efficient services
