About the Role
You will design and implement low-latency backend services for a real-time exchange. You will optimize performance, build reliable streaming pipelines and APIs, diagnose incidents, write postmortems, integrate services across the platform, and make distributed-systems decisions for failure recovery.
Requirements
- 4 to 7+ years of professional backend development experience
- Strong proficiency in Go Python or Java
- Strong understanding of algorithms data structures concurrency and memory management
- Experience building and debugging high-throughput low-latency systems on Linux
- Strong focus on correctness and production edge cases
- Ability to work independently in a high-autonomy environment
- Trading systems high-frequency trading gaming or telecom experience is a plus
- Kafka Pulsar or similar streaming platform experience is a plus
- Familiarity with gRPC Protobuf or ZeroMQ is a plus
- Experience with AWS or GCP containers and modern deployment tooling is a plus
Responsibilities
- Design and implement low-latency backend services primarily in Go
- Profile and tune latency throughput and memory usage
- Build and maintain event-driven data pipelines and APIs with Kafka or Pulsar
- Own production reliability by diagnosing incidents writing postmortems and shipping preventive fixes
- Integrate exchange services with product infrastructure and data systems
- Contribute to distributed systems architecture focused on failure modes degradation and recovery
