About the Role

You will develop enterprise payment applications for cross-border settlement. You will design and operate cloud-native distributed systems, define API contracts, deliver complex features, reduce technical debt, guide technical decisions, prototype solutions, collaborate with cross-functional partners, mentor engineers, and promote engineering standards.

Requirements

5+ years of experience in software engineering with a focus on backend systems
Hands-on experience building and operating distributed systems
Experience delivering complex features in large-scale regulated environments
Strong API design and integration skills
Experience with AWS or other cloud platforms
Experience with Kubernetes or ECS
Experience with Java and its ecosystem preferred
Experience with Spring Boot preferred
Experience with event-driven architecture such as Kafka or SNS/SQS preferred

Responsibilities

Design distributed systems for payment transactions
Build scalable and performant enterprise software
Develop and operate cloud-native highly available backend systems
Design reusable REST and gRPC service contracts
Deliver complex features in regulated environments
Manage feature-level migration efforts and technical debt
Own technical delivery for complex features
Prototype and implement software solutions
Mentor engineers and share technical knowledge
Collaborate with product legal and business development teams
Encourage engineering standards across the team and department
