About the Role

Design, implement, and operate systems that create, manage, and resolve markets at scale, including automation pipelines, external data integrations, event-driven processing, and reliable production infrastructure.

Requirements

• 4–7+ years of professional backend development experience.
• Proficiency in Python or Go, or another language such as Rust or Java.
• Understanding of distributed systems, data pipelines, and event-driven architecture.
• Experience building automation systems, workflow orchestration, or integrations with third-party data sources and APIs.
• Ability to debug complex systems on Linux and own correctness and reliability.
• Experience with prediction markets, financial data, or real-world event detection systems is a plus.
• Familiarity with external data integrations is a plus.
• Production experience with Kafka, Pulsar, or similar streaming platforms is a plus.
• Experience deploying systems in AWS or GCP and using containers is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement pipelines that automate market creation, parameter configuration, and lifecycle management.
• Build data-driven resolution systems integrating external oracles, news feeds, sports APIs, and real-world data sources.
• Build event-processing systems using messaging and streaming platforms.
• Reinforce correctness, availability, and scalability across markets systems.
• Diagnose and resolve production issues.
• Collaborate with product, infrastructure, data, and markets operations.
• Participate in code reviews, design discussions, and architectural decisions.
