About the Role

You will build systems used to analyze and trade tens of thousands of products across hundreds of global trading venues every day. Working closely with Technologists, Quantitative Researchers, and Traders, you'll guide the development of in-house trading technology and optimize it to achieve market-leading performance and reliability. You'll work across venue connectivity, trading engines, and shared platforms while maintaining shared libraries and evolving application architecture.

Requirements

  • BSc, MSc, or PhD in Computer Science, Mathematics, or equivalent.
  • 5+ years of post-graduation professional C++ software development experience; proprietary trading experience preferred.
  • Ability to write clean, reliable, and highly scalable code.
  • Good knowledge of algorithms and data structures.
  • Experience in parallel, asynchronous, and multithreaded programming.
  • Interest in maximizing hardware and software performance.
  • Ability to communicate with technical and non-technical business colleagues.

Responsibilities

  • Lead development and global rollout of the Core platform across market data, quantitative research, pricing, and strategy groups.
  • Deploy deliverables and validate them with traders or quants in a fast-paced iterative process.
  • Develop tools and frameworks for tuning data-driven systematic pricing and trading strategies.
  • Refine requirements and iterate on design and implementation with engineers, quants, and technical traders.
  • Build exchange connectivity using FIX, WebSocket, HTTP, and exchange APIs.
  • Maintain and extend testing suites to ensure software quality.
  • Optimize exchange communication through kernel bypass, TLS optimization, and connection handling.
  • Research exchange behavior and align system behavior accordingly.
  • Implement solutions using C++, Rust, Python, and TypeScript SDKs.
  • Implement trading algorithms from trader and quant requirements.
  • Improve trading engine stability, reliability, and performance.
  • Enhance monitoring and observability with Trading Operations.
  • Investigate and resolve production issues and performance bottlenecks.
  • Prepare releases and deployments of new trading engine versions.
