About the Role
You will lead the architecture and implementation of control-plane APIs, services, state models, and administrative workflows. You will build reliable distributed systems, integrate platform components, establish engineering practices, review designs, and mentor engineers.
Requirements
- 7+ years of professional software engineering experience with substantial backend responsibility
- Experience designing and delivering a control plane, developer platform, administrative system, or comparable distributed product
- Experience with API design, domain modeling, persistent state, asynchronous workflows, and service integration
- Experience designing reliable distributed workflows
- Software development ability in Go, Python, TypeScript, or another relevant language
- Experience with authentication, authorization, policy, tenancy, auditability, and secure administrative operations
- Experience with automated testing, observability, release practices, and production support
- French and English written and verbal communication skills
- Relevant technical university degree or equivalent professional experience
Responsibilities
- Define and evolve control-plane architecture, domain models, and interfaces
- Build backend services, APIs, asynchronous workflows, and state-management systems
- Deliver administrative workflows for configuration, upgrades, policies, tenancy, and system health
- Build administrative web interfaces when needed
- Own integration adapters between the control plane and platform components
- Design for reliability, idempotency, auditability, access control, and failure recovery
- Establish testing, observability, documentation, and release practices
- Evaluate and integrate open-source software
- Lead technical designs, set engineering standards, review work, and mentor engineers
