About the Role
You will design and build software for a high-performance multi-tenant cloud network. You will develop network deployment automation, implement and operate SDN control-plane services, improve availability through observability and redundancy, maintain monitoring and management tools, and participate in on-call response and reliability automation.
Requirements
- 5+ years of professional software engineering experience
- Experience designing and implementing production-scale SDN systems
- Experience with OpenStack Neutron, OVN, or similar network virtualization frameworks
- Deep understanding of Linux networking, including namespaces, routing, iptables or nftables, network virtualization, SR-IOV, and DPDK
- Proficiency with Linux command-line tools and networking concepts
- Experience with multi-data-center and hybrid-cloud networking
- 5+ years of C, Go, or Python development for network services, tooling, and automation
- Experience with CI/CD, automated testing, deployment systems, Git, and GitOps
- Experience with on-call rotations, incident response, and reliability tooling
- Experience operating and automating applications on Kubernetes
Responsibilities
- Design and build software for a high-performance multi-tenant cloud network
- Develop automation and tooling for network configuration and deployments
- Implement and operate software-defined networking services and control-plane software
- Engineer highly available network services with observability, failover, and redundancy
- Deliver predictable networking performance through software-driven engineering
- Develop, integrate, and maintain network monitoring and management tools
- Participate in on-call and contribute to incident-response tooling and automation
