About the Role
You will develop and integrate autonomy capabilities for launched effects platforms, including payload-computer bring-up, autopilot integration, multi-agent coordination, and disconnected deployments. You will own features through live testing and operational deployment, resolve hardware and software issues, support field events, and improve integration and mission-readiness processes.
Requirements
- Bachelor's or master's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent practical experience
- 5+ years of relevant experience or equivalent advanced-degree experience
- C++ proficiency and experience with real-time or embedded systems
- Linux-based development and embedded-systems experience
- Experience integrating complex software and hardware systems
- Experience supporting system integration, testing, or field events
- Ability to obtain a SECRET clearance
Responsibilities
- Develop and integrate autonomy software for launched effects platforms
- Perform payload-computer bring-up and autopilot integration
- Own features from simulation through live flight testing and deployment
- Lead technical execution, design decisions, and mentoring
- Collaborate with autonomy, perception, autopilot, C2, customer, and contractor partners
- Contribute to design reviews, ICDs, integration plans, and post-mortems
- Build, configure, and validate mission-ready systems
- Support test sites, customer exercises, and live demonstrations
- Diagnose hardware and software integration issues
- Capture mission data and reproduce issues in simulation
- Develop tools and processes to improve testing and deployment
- Implement and validate UCI, OMS, MOSA, WOSA, and TAK/CoT interfaces
- Travel 10–20% for offices, customer sites, training, tests, and exercises
