About the Role
You will lead the design and optimization of navigation and mobility-control algorithms for autonomous mobile robots. You will integrate software with hardware systems, develop scalable robot-deployment architecture, mentor engineers, and improve planning and control capabilities.
Requirements
- Over 5 years of robotics software engineering experience, or a Master's degree or higher with 3 years of robotics experience
- Industry experience developing navigation algorithms for mobile robots
- Proficiency in Python
- Experience with motion planning and controls for robotics systems
- Understanding of navigation systems and non-holonomic mobile robots
- Deep understanding of robot kinematics and dynamics
- Experience with graph-search planning methods such as A*, RRT, or PRM
- Experience with convex optimization and nonlinear programming
- Experience with mobile-robot control algorithms such as PID, Pure Pursuit, or LQR
- Experience shipping and supporting navigation features for a fleet of mobile robots
- Ability to optimize complex algorithms for performance and reliability
