About the Role
You will support the financial lifecycle of large-scale data center construction projects. You will apply relevant accounting guidance, review contracts and payment applications, maintain project schedules, and help improve capital-project processes. You will collaborate with construction, engineering, procurement, accounts payable, and treasury stakeholders to provide accurate project spend, change-order, and cash-flow data. You will execute month-end activities, including CIP accruals, depreciation entries, fixed-asset reconciliations, and audit documentation.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
- CPA required
- 3+ years of relevant accounting experience
- Working knowledge of US GAAP for construction and capital project accounting
- Contract review skills and ability to identify accounting implications from legal documentation
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
Responsibilities
- Assist in managing the financial lifecycle of large-scale data center construction projects
- Review General Contractor pay applications, track budget versus actuals, and maintain the Construction-in-Progress schedule
- Apply US GAAP guidance under ASC 360, ASC 835, and ASC 606 to development fees and reimbursable arrangements
- Identify opportunities to streamline Procure-to-Pay and Record-to-Report lifecycles for capital projects
- Build processes for tracking Owner-Furnished Contractor-Installed equipment and lien waiver management
- Review Guaranteed Maximum Price and Development Management agreements and flag accounting-related clauses
- Translate development agreement terms into actionable steps for Accounts Payable and Treasury
- Ensure proper system setup within Procore and the ERP
- Partner with Construction Managers, Engineering, and Procurement to provide financial data on project spend, change orders, and cash flow
- Execute month-end close activities including CIP accruals, depreciation recording, and fixed asset sub-ledger reconciliations
- Prepare audit documentation, roll-forward schedules, and support for significant asset additions
