About the Role
You will lead solid rocket motor design and manufacturing programs from proposal through qualification. You will manage schedules, cost, technical performance, risks, and program baselines while serving as the primary technical interface for customers, subcontractors, and internal stakeholders.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Chemical, Aerospace, or a related science or engineering field with seven years of combined technical and project engineering or project management experience, or 11 years of combined experience in lieu of a degree
- Experience with solid rocket motor design, development, and manufacturing processes
- Knowledge of safety, handling, and regulatory requirements for energetic materials
- Experience developing and maintaining an Integrated Master Schedule and executing against program baselines
- Eligibility to obtain and maintain a U.S. DoD Security Clearance
- U.S. citizenship required for security clearance
- Eligibility for applicable state and federal explosives licenses
- Must be at least 21 years old
- U.S. citizenship, lawful permanent residence, protected individual status, or eligibility for required export authorizations
Responsibilities
- Lead solid rocket motor design and manufacturing programs from proposal through qualification
- Own and report program schedule, cost, and technical performance
- Serve as the primary technical interface for customers, subcontractors, and internal stakeholders
- Manage the Integrated Master Schedule and program baselines
- Identify, assess, and mitigate program risks and technical issues
- Escalate unresolved constraints to program leadership
