About the Role
You will lead data center construction and expansion projects from contract negotiation through commissioning and handover. You will coordinate providers, contractors, vendors, and technology partners; manage schedules, budgets, contracts, risks, deliveries, and change orders; report project status; and ensure deployments meet quality, safety, security, and code requirements.
Requirements
- 7+ years of technical project, program, or construction management experience
- At least 5 years focused on data center, mission-critical, or high-density infrastructure builds
- Experience managing data center providers or general contractors for an owner or developer
- Experience managing high-density compute deployments
- Knowledge of data center MEP systems, data hall fit out, structured cabling, and white space delivery
- Experience managing multi-million-dollar infrastructure budgets across concurrent projects
- Communication skills for technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Familiarity with high-density GPU compute, liquid cooling, or AI infrastructure
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, Business, or a related field
- PMP certification or equivalent project-management credential
Responsibilities
- Manage data center construction and expansion projects from inception through deployment
- Oversee MEP installation, commissioning, facility readiness, fit out, and turnover to operations
- Manage integration-partner staging and validation performance
- Manage contracts, service-level agreements, schedules, change orders, costs, and milestones
- Assess vendor and partner operational readiness
- Coordinate external partners to resolve field issues
- Track equipment deliveries against construction milestones
- Report schedules, risks, budget forecasts, and decision points to leadership
- Establish scalable deployment tracking, documentation, and vendor-management workflows
- Ensure deployments comply with codes, security policies, and safety standards
