You will deliver production flight-control software, develop reusable platforms, improve simulation-to-flight validation, support airworthiness work, and guide cross-functional technical decisions.
Requirements
- 15+ years of GNC experience
- Expert knowledge of aircraft dynamics, stability and control, guidance, and estimation
- Experience with state estimation, sensor fusion, inertial navigation, and Kalman or nonlinear filtering
- Experience shipping and supporting production autopilot or flight-control software
- Technical leadership experience across engineering teams
- Experience recruiting, mentoring, and developing technical talent
- Proficiency in C++, MATLAB or Simulink, and Python
- Experience with high-fidelity simulation, software-in-the-loop, hardware-in-the-loop, and flight-test analysis
- Experience with safety-critical development and verification
- Master's degree in a relevant engineering, robotics, mathematics, or computer science discipline
Responsibilities
- Establish the GNC and state-estimation technical vision, roadmap, architecture, and priorities
- Build and mentor a specialist engineering team
- Design, implement, tune, and validate guidance, navigation, flight-control, and state-estimation algorithms
- Deliver production autopilot and flight-control software
- Develop reusable algorithms, interfaces, abstractions, and validation tools
- Establish simulation, software-in-the-loop, hardware-in-the-loop, and regression-testing capabilities
