About the Role

You will develop, integrate, and test guidance, navigation, and control software for autonomous aircraft and simulated systems. You will build autonomy architectures, implement control and planning algorithms, develop air vehicle models, conduct flight testing and data analysis, and integrate software with OEM hardware.

Requirements

  • Master's degree in Aerospace, Robotics, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science, or a similar field
  • 6+ years of hands-on GNC software development experience
  • Experience developing autonomy algorithms in C++ or Python
  • Experience with control systems or path planning algorithms
  • Experience developing and simulating 3DoF or 6DoF air vehicle models
  • Experience with flight testing and data analysis
  • Experience with UAS GNC or navigation systems such as PixHawk and Ardupilot
  • Experience with functional, procedural, data-oriented, and object-oriented programming
  • Experience using Git, Visual Studio Code, and GitLab
  • U.S. citizenship
  • Ability to hold or eligibility for a U.S. Secret security clearance
  • Willingness to travel approximately 20%

  • Write software for autonomous aircraft systems and simulated models
  • Build and improve aerial autonomy software architectures
  • Develop and integrate GNC algorithms
  • Collaborate with DoD experts and UAS vendors to integrate autonomy software with OEM hardware
