About the Role
You will establish and scale hardware reliability practices. You will define requirements and test strategies, direct testing partners and suppliers, translate customer needs into testing standards, lead failure analysis, and automate test workflows and analysis.
Requirements
- 10+ years of hands-on hardware reliability engineering experience
- Experience shipping consumer electronics and products for a heavy-duty or regulated industry
- Experience defining reliability requirements, test plans, and supplier or lab execution
- Programming experience with Python, C, C++, Bash, or MATLAB
- Experience presenting reliability data to enterprise customers
- Bachelor’s or advanced degree in a relevant engineering or materials-science discipline
Responsibilities
- Establish the hardware reliability engineering function, processes, standards, and capabilities
- Define reliability requirements, HALT and ALT protocols, environmental testing, and failure criteria
- Manage third-party test labs and manufacturing partners
- Represent reliability across hardware design, quality, and systems engineering
- Translate customer field requirements into technical testing standards and present results
- Lead root-cause analysis and corrective actions for defects and field failures
- Automate testing workflows, data collection, and analysis
