About the Role
You will operate and improve an environmental test laboratory for electronics. You will develop test procedures, conduct reliability testing, automate data acquisition, document results, maintain equipment and consumables, and work with external laboratories and stakeholders on environmental test practices.
Requirements
- 2+ years of environmental testing experience
- Knowledge of data-acquisition equipment and instrumentation
- Familiarity with PCBs, PCBAs, electronic components, and mechanical assemblies
- Knowledge of electronics failure mechanisms
- Experience working with interdisciplinary teams from concept to production
- Experience managing technical projects
- Familiarity with IPC, JEDEC, MIL, and ASTM test standards
Responsibilities
- Operate and improve the environmental test laboratory
- Develop laboratory procedures for equipment use, test setup, data acquisition, and reporting
- Perform thermal cycling, temperature-humidity, HALT, HASS, vibration, and shock tests
- Automate data acquisition and document test plans and results
- Manage laboratory consumables and equipment maintenance
- Maintain laboratory organization and safety
- Coordinate environmental testing with external laboratories
- Educate stakeholders on environmental test best practices
