About the Role

You will manage a commercial banking client portfolio, identify prospects, develop sales pipelines, conduct client planning and sales calls, coordinate with credit and service partners, analyze credit applications, and grow relationships with borrowing and non-borrowing clients in the assigned market.

Requirements

  • 2–4 years of experience in commercial banking and business development
  • Proven business development experience in an assigned market area
  • Strong sales and closing skills
  • Strong market network
  • Negotiation skills
  • Commercial credit skills
  • Knowledge of commercial lending and deposit products and services
  • Knowledge of customer profitability models
  • Ability to travel within the assigned territory
  • Access to a vehicle

Responsibilities

  • Manage a portfolio of standard to moderately complex commercial banking clients
  • Identify prospects in target markets
  • Develop sales pipelines
  • Engage in client planning activities with partners
  • Conduct sales calls
  • Qualify opportunities based on client needs and due diligence
  • Partner with Credit Solution Associates on credit portfolios up to $5 million
  • Partner with the Service team to onboard clients
  • Build relationships with internal partners and clients
  • Promote profitable growth of the commercial banking portfolio
  • Execute business development strategies
  • Conduct initial credit analysis
  • Collaborate with the credit team on credit applications
  • Build and maintain a market profile
