About the Role
Responsible for designing, implementing, and managing network and infrastructure solutions, supporting development teams, maintaining geo-distributed infrastructure, configuring network equipment and virtualization systems, administering Linux servers, monitoring services, automating administrative tasks, and collaborating with technical teams.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in a similar position
- Excellent knowledge of configuring and operating switches, routers, and firewalls
- Strong knowledge of VLAN, STP, static routing, PBR, OSPF, BGP, ACL, IPSEC, OpenVPN, DNS, and DHCP
- Experience with VMWare, including vCenter, vSAN, Distributed Switch, and HA
- Working knowledge of HP/Dell servers and storage systems
- Experience administering Debian/Ubuntu Linux
- Experience administering monitoring, logging, and metrics systems
- Intermediate or higher spoken and technical English
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams
- Nice to have: DevOps practices, IaC, Ansible, Puppet, Terraform, GCP, AWS, information security, SOC2/PCI DSS, and Kanban experience
Responsibilities
- Ensure the smooth operation of the company's geo-distributed infrastructure
- Maintain and configure network equipment, bare metal servers, and NAS
- Maintain and configure the virtualization system (VMWare)
- Administer multiple Linux servers
- Monitor the status of services and promptly resolve emerging problems
- Automate administrative tasks
- Participate in the development and improvement of infrastructure
- Interact with developers, database administrators, DevOps engineers, and architects
