About the Role
You will build backend services, APIs, data pipelines, release infrastructure, and test-station software for manufacturing. You will manage production software releases and traceability, integrate factory systems, create operator-facing applications, and support factory bring-up and deployments.
Requirements
- 6+ years of experience building production software, backend services, or data platforms
- Python development experience or equivalent expertise in Go, Java, C#, or TypeScript with Python proficiency
- Software engineering fundamentals including testing, CI/CD, version control, code review, debugging, and production monitoring
- Experience designing scalable APIs, databases, data models, and distributed systems
- Experience integrating external systems and building production services
- Experience developing internal applications, dashboards, or operator-facing software
- Ability to own technical architecture and build greenfield software platforms
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent practical experience
- Willingness to work onsite in San Jose and travel internationally
Responsibilities
- Design and build backend services, APIs, and data pipelines for manufacturing test and factory operations
- Own manufacturing release management, deployment, versioning, and traceability
- Develop data platforms for test results, yield analysis, genealogy, and production reporting
- Build reusable test-station applications, operator interfaces, and automation frameworks
- Integrate software with MES, SFIS, and contract-manufacturer factory systems
- Productionize prototype tools into reliable manufacturing software
- Travel to manufacturing partners to support factory bring-up and production deployments
