About the Role
Bridge engineering designs and production by interpreting drawings, schematics, and BOMs, migrating design data into manufacturing systems, coordinating planning deliverables, owning manufacturing processes and work instructions, improving FPY and OPE, collaborating with suppliers, managing ERP data, and supporting cross-functional manufacturing projects.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related field.
- 3-5 years of manufacturing engineering experience.
- Demonstrated leadership responsibilities.
- Experience with manufacturing process design and process improvements.
- Experience leading DFMA initiatives.
- Experience with manufacturing processes, mechanical machinery, power electronics, or industrial controls.
- Ability to interpret fabrication drawings, electrical schematics, and engineering BOMs.
- Familiarity with sourcing, purchasing, and production management.
- ERP software experience.
- SolidWorks experience.
- Google Suite and Microsoft Office experience.
- Ability to lead across multiple sites with a geographically dispersed team.
- Drug and alcohol program participation is required.
- Lean manufacturing or Six Sigma Black Belt certifications are a bonus.
- Formal quality management system experience is a bonus.
Responsibilities
- Interpret mechanical and electrical engineering documentation.
- Translate design documentation into production information.
- Migrate production data into manufacturing systems.
- Coordinate planning deliverables with purchasing, production, inventory, and project management.
- Create and maintain manufacturing processes and work instructions.
- Lead FPY and OPE improvement initiatives.
- Collaborate with suppliers and vendors on quotes and proposals.
- Maintain manufacturing data in ERP software.
- Identify production gauging and equipment requirements.
- Represent manufacturing engineering in cross-functional meetings.
- Resolve technical issues.
