About the Role

You coordinate GIS data requests and deliverables between internal teams and third-party GIS, survey, and mapping vendors throughout the project lifecycle. You review GIS and CAD files for accuracy and completeness, track corrections and schedules, maintain organized records, support GIS data integration, and recommend process improvements. You also coordinate data requirements across land development, engineering, environmental, and construction teams.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in GIS, Geography, Planning, or a related field, or equivalent experience
  • 5+ years of experience working with GIS data
  • Extensive hands-on experience with ArcGIS software
  • Working experience with AutoCAD and other drafting or design software
  • Strong organizational, follow-up, written communication, and verbal communication skills
  • Working knowledge of GIS data types, formats, and mapping deliverables
  • Experience coordinating internal stakeholders and outside vendors
  • Ability to manage multiple concurrent data requests and tracking logs
  • Valid driver's license and ability to travel to project sites as needed
  • Experience with data center, energy, or land development due diligence and entitlement processes is desirable
  • Experience with document or records management systems is desirable
  • Familiarity with Civil 3D or Bluebeam Revu is desirable

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary contact for third-party GIS, survey, and mapping vendors
  • Request, track, and receive GIS data deliverables across project phases
  • Communicate data requirements and formatting standards to vendors
  • Coordinate vendor data collection schedules with project milestones
  • Review GIS, AutoCAD, and other design files for completeness, accuracy, and conformance
  • Flag discrepancies and coordinate corrections with vendors and internal teams
  • Track incoming and outstanding vendor data deliverables
  • Coordinate GIS data needs with land development, engineering, environmental, and construction teams
  • Support integration of vendor data into internal GIS systems and records
  • Maintain records of vendor deliverables, correspondence, and data logs
  • Support file naming, folder structure, archiving, and records retention
  • Track vendor scopes of work, timelines, and invoicing status
  • Recommend process improvements for vendor data coordination
