About the Role
You will own the full lifecycle of utility infrastructure agreements across the data center portfolio. You will negotiate new agreements and amendments, track contractual obligations and deadlines, interpret utility requirements and reliability standards, manage construction agreement obligations, coordinate with internal and external stakeholders, and report contract risks and counterparty performance to leadership.
Requirements
- 8+ years in the electric utility sector or negotiating and managing utility agreements
- Experience with large-load interconnection, energy service or electric service agreements, and utility construction agreements
- Command of utility tariffs, connection requirements, interconnection processes, metering standards, and reliability obligations
- Familiarity with engineering, procurement, and construction lifecycle
- Experience negotiating complex infrastructure agreements
- Contract management and organization
- Cross-functional communication
- Based in or willing to relocate to Dallas or San Francisco
Responsibilities
- Lead utility infrastructure agreement negotiations
- Manage agreement obligations
- Track contractual citations, deadlines, owners, and statuses
- Run monthly deadline reviews
- Escalate at-risk items
- Translate utility requirements into engineering and operations requirements
- Manage construction agreement obligations
- Coordinate across business functions and data center tenants
- Report obligation status and contract risks
