About the Role

You will own international payroll processing across multiple jurisdictions, ensure accurate and compliant payroll runs, maintain payroll data integrity, coordinate statutory filings, reconcile payroll accounts, support reporting, improve and automate processes, and resolve payroll issues while partnering with People Operations, Legal, Tax, Finance, and regional stakeholders.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field
  • 8-12 years of progressive payroll experience
  • At least 4 years in senior payroll management or payroll leadership
  • Multi-country payroll experience
  • Strong knowledge of Indian payroll legislation and statutory requirements
  • Exposure to an international jurisdiction such as the US, UK, Singapore, or Southeast Asia
  • Enterprise payroll or HR systems experience
  • Payroll accounting, month-end close, GL reconciliations, audit controls, and reporting
  • Advanced Excel or Google Sheets skills
  • Stakeholder management, communication, and problem-solving skills
  • Payroll system implementation, process transformation, or M&A integration experience
  • Experience with equity administration platforms
  • CPP, FPC, or equivalent payroll certification
  • Global payroll aggregator experience
  • Knowledge of SOC 1 or SOC 2 control expectations

Responsibilities

  • Own end-to-end international payroll processing
  • Oversee global payroll systems and jurisdictional setup
  • Ensure accurate and timely payroll runs and statutory deductions
  • Maintain payroll data integrity, controls, documentation, and audit trails
  • Ensure compliance with payroll laws and regulations
  • Prepare and coordinate statutory payroll filings and employee tax documentation
  • Monitor labour, tax, and social security regulation changes
  • Prepare payroll journal entries, accruals, GL reconciliations, and month-end close activities
  • Partner with FP&A on headcount reporting, employee cost analysis, and forecasting inputs
  • Coordinate benefit, insurance, and payroll provider payments
  • Provide payroll insights for management reporting and due diligence requests
  • Standardize, simplify, and automate payroll processes
  • Support payroll system enhancements, country setup, restructuring, and M&A integration
  • Resolve payroll-related queries and escalations
  • Partner with People Operations, Legal, Tax, Finance, and regional stakeholders
