About the Role
You will design, deploy, and manage IT infrastructure, including identity, endpoint security, networking, cloud environments, storage, backups, workstations, and collaboration tools. You will support employees, automate provisioning, maintain security controls, manage software licensing, and resolve technical issues.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology
- 8+ years in a similar IT operations role
- 2–3 years in a high-growth startup or solo environment
- Experience transitioning from an external MSP or managing solo IT at a high-growth startup
- Knowledge of Google Workspace and Google office applications
- Experience supporting SOC 2 Type 2 efforts
- Experience with Rippling or a comparable HRIS/IT platform
- Experience with endpoint protection platforms such as SentinelOne
- Knowledge of Meraki networking, wireless, VLANs, and firewall security
- Experience configuring VPN and MFA solutions
- Familiarity with Slack and Jira administration
- Working knowledge of GCP and Oracle Cloud
- Experience with Synology NAS storage and backup systems
- Proficiency with Mac and Windows workstation deployment and troubleshooting
- Experience with Microsoft WSUS and Microsoft Office deployment and support
- Experience maintaining audio and video conferencing systems
- Understanding of software license management and compliance
- Problem-solving, prioritization, communication, customer-service, and security skills
Responsibilities
- Administer Google Workspace, user accounts, permissions, security policies, DLP rules, and integrations
- Manage Rippling onboarding and offboarding workflows, policies, automation, deployment scripting, and MDM
- Deploy and maintain endpoint protection, investigate threat alerts, and coordinate remediation
- Plan, deploy, and optimize Meraki network infrastructure, VLANs, firewalls, and security policies
- Implement and maintain physical access controls, VPNs, and MFA
- Administer Slack and support GCP and Oracle Cloud environments
- Maintain Synology NAS storage and test backup and disaster-recovery procedures
- Prepare, deploy, inventory, troubleshoot, and patch Mac and Windows workstations
- Maintain audio and video conferencing equipment
- Manage software procurement, deployment, licenses, inventory, and compliance
