About the Role

You will manage hazardous-material data, SDS records, purchasing workflows, inventories, and quality-assurance activities. You will investigate discrepancies, maintain HMMIS records, support process improvements, and provide customer guidance and training.

Requirements

  • Associate degree and at least seven years of relevant experience, or equivalent education and experience
  • Experience managing SDS documents, hazardous-material data, chemical inventory records, or technical records
  • Experience evaluating chemical identity, hazards, physical properties, and regulated-material information
  • Proficiency with databases, spreadsheets, office software, electronic workflows, reporting tools, and information systems
  • Knowledge of HMMIS or related hazardous-material, SDS, inventory, or regulated-material systems
  • Ability to perform quality-assurance reviews and support process improvement
  • Ability to complete required HMMIS training
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to obtain and maintain an HSPD-12 PIV badge
  • Ability to pass a Federal Tier 1 background investigation

Responsibilities

  • Maintain SDS documents and related records
  • Evaluate chemical, hazard, and regulated-material information
  • Maintain HMMIS chemical, inventory, and control-area data
  • Review hazardous-material requisitions and purchase orders
  • Conduct physical inventories and reconcile HMMIS records
  • Investigate discrepancies and coordinate corrective actions
  • Maintain inventory schedules, reports, labels, and documentation
  • Develop procedures, work aids, reports, workflows, and system interfaces
  • Provide customer support, technical guidance, training, mentoring, and backup coverage
  • Follow safety, quality, cybersecurity, records-management, and operational requirements
