About the Role
You will maintain, modify, inspect, and repair autonomous trucks, trailers, systems, and harnesses in the field. You will perform preventive maintenance, diagnose failures, support material readiness, coordinate supplies, collaborate with engineers, and provide technical coverage at other locations when needed.
Requirements
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
- Ability to read and implement electrical harness diagrams and mechanical prints
- Experience using electrical and mechanical tools including wire crimpers, multimeters, oscilloscopes, torque wrenches, fabrication tools, and hand tools
- Truck diagnostic instrumentation and failure-analysis skills
- Hands-on experience inspecting complex systems for defects and failures
- Experience using checklists, protocols, and work documentation
- Availability for daytime, night, and weekend shifts
- Availability for periodic travel for cross-training and support
Responsibilities
- Maintain and modify autonomous vehicle platforms, trucks, trailers, and autonomous systems
- Safely operate company vehicles
- Maintain a driving record that meets auto-insurance requirements
- Repair modular subsystems and harnesses on the bench and in vehicles
- Inspect and certify the operational health of vehicles and platforms
- Support design and validation engineers with hardware-system development
- Perform scheduled preventive maintenance and related upkeep
- Support material staging and workflow readiness for field teams
- Provide technical coverage at other locations
- Maintain a safe and clean work environment
- Coordinate replenishment and distribution of maintenance supplies
