About the Role
You will operate, maintain, inspect, and troubleshoot critical mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems in a supercomputing data center. You will coordinate shutdowns, manage spare-parts inventory, implement energy metrics, support commissioning, uphold site safety and environmental compliance, and mentor technicians.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or 6+ years of hands-on operations or facilities experience
- Knowledge of mechanical or electrical engineering principles and systems
- Knowledge of critical-systems documentation, plans, procedures, and operations manuals
- Experience with building and electrical power monitoring systems
- Troubleshooting skills
- Experience with PLC-based control systems or building management systems
- Written, verbal, and technical-writing skills in English
- Ability to work flexible 24x7 shifts
- Willingness to travel up to 10%
- Valid driver's license
Responsibilities
- Operate and maintain critical MEP systems
- Troubleshoot HVAC, power, and environmental-control systems
- Mentor junior technicians
- Maintain and optimize power, cooling, and environmental infrastructure
- Ensure site safety and environmental compliance
- Inspect facility areas and self-report problems
- Write and execute MOPs, SOPs, and EOPs
- Perform daily inspections of critical systems
- Maintain spare-parts inventory
- Coordinate scheduled system shutdowns
- Develop energy-monitoring metrics
- Support commissioning and functional testing
