About the Role

You will oversee EPC engineering design and construction for high-voltage substations and transmission lines supporting solar, wind, and battery-storage projects. You will review designs and power-system studies, coordinate with utilities, support commissioning, manage contractor relationships, and provide technical guidance across project functions.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering with an emphasis on Power Systems.
  • 7 or more years of substation design experience.
  • 2 or more years of high-voltage project engineering experience.
  • Ability to read control schematics for high-voltage breakers and power transformers.
  • Knowledge of power-system modeling, including load flow, insulation coordination, grounding, arc-flash, TOV, and harmonics.
  • Understanding of renewable grid-integration requirements.
  • Communication, technical leadership, organizational, and prioritization skills.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee EPC engineering design and construction for high-voltage substations and transmission lines.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with high-voltage contractors.
  • Review substation EPC designs for interconnection, reliability, and industry-standard compliance.
  • Provide technical design review and advice.
  • Review power-system studies.
  • Coordinate directly with interconnection providers.
  • Support substation commissioning, apparatus testing, and utility and ISO testing coordination.
  • Work with project management, development, interconnection, real estate, permitting, legal, finance, and construction functions.
  • Travel and perform fieldwork.
