You will design distribution systems, define equipment requirements, perform electrical studies, review technical documents, coordinate delivery stakeholders, and support equipment selection, testing, commissioning, and failure investigations.
Requirements
- Experience designing low-voltage electrical systems for data centers, mission-critical facilities, or large industrial environments
- Knowledge of low-voltage distribution, UPS topologies, switchgear, busway, grounding, rack-level distribution, and electrical monitoring
- Knowledge of N, N+1, 2N, distributed redundant, and catcher redundancy architectures
- Ability to develop and review single-line diagrams, equipment specifications, coordination studies, and commissioning documentation
- Experience with ETAP, SKM, EasyPower, or comparable electrical analysis software
- Knowledge of NEC, NFPA 70E, IEEE, and NETA standards
- Ability to translate IT equipment requirements into facility designs
- Communication skills
- Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or equivalent practical experience
Responsibilities
- Own electrical design standards and reference architectures for low-voltage systems
- Lead design from transformer secondary through rack-level power delivery
- Develop 480V and 415V AC architectures for GPU clusters
- Define requirements for switchgear, UPS systems, PDUs, busway, grounding, metering, and monitoring
- Model loads, GPU power behavior, transient demand, harmonics, redundancy, capacity, and electrical failure domains
- Develop and review single-line diagrams, panel schedules, specifications, sequences of operation, and basis-of-design documents
- Evaluate greenfield, retrofit, and partner-provided designs
- Perform or oversee electrical system studies
- Coordinate electrical requirements across facilities, mechanical systems, HPC architecture, hardware engineering, construction, and operations
- Support equipment selection, testing, construction sequencing, commissioning, and root-cause investigations
- Travel to project sites, manufacturers, and partner facilities as needed
Benefits
- Cash and equity compensation
- Health, dental, and vision coverage for employees and dependents
- Wellness and commuter stipends for select roles
