About the Role
You will architect medium-voltage DC distribution for large campuses, including voltage, topology, and grounding decisions. You will own EMT fault and stability analysis, establish protection and safety approaches, lead the DC Systems team, coordinate technical interfaces, and develop strategies for DC components.
Requirements
- Have 12+ years of power-systems or power-electronics experience with end-to-end MVDC or HVDC system design
- Apply system-level knowledge of converter-dominated network architecture, grounding, faults, and stability
- Use PSCAD or EMTDC for EMT simulation
- Develop safety cases for immature standards
- Lead small technical teams
- Know SSCB, DC-breaker, DC-grounding, insulation-coordination, islanded-system, behind-the-meter-system, or standards-committee practices
Responsibilities
- Architect MVDC distribution systems, including voltage level, topology, and grounding
- Own EMT modeling and fault and stability analysis
- Set protection philosophy and develop safety cases
- Lead the DC Systems team and define its deliverables
- Manage technical interfaces with SST and facility electrical teams
- Develop vendor strategy for SSCBs, converters, and DC-rated components
