About the Role

You will oversee EPC engineering and construction for high-voltage substations and transmission lines supporting renewable projects. You will review designs and power-system studies, coordinate with interconnection providers, support commissioning, resolve technical issues, and work with project stakeholders and contractors.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering with an emphasis on power systems
  • At least 7 years of substation design experience
  • At least 2 years of project engineering experience in a high-voltage role
  • Ability to read control schematics for high-voltage equipment
  • Knowledge of power-system modeling
  • Understanding of grid-integration requirements for renewables
  • Strong communication, technical leadership, organization, and prioritization skills

Responsibilities

  • Oversee EPC engineering design and construction for high-voltage substations and transmission lines
  • Maintain relationships with high-voltage contractors
  • Review substation EPC designs for compliance
  • Provide design-review advice on technical issues
  • Review power-system studies
  • Coordinate collector-substation designs with interconnection providers
  • Support substation commissioning and apparatus testing
  • Work with project management, development, interconnection, permitting, finance, and construction stakeholders
  • Perform travel and fieldwork
