About the Role
Manage workplace concerns, conflict resolution, and internal investigations across the company. Advise managers and leaders, provide California labor law guidance, deliver manager training, identify workplace risks, maintain accurate documentation, and report trends to leadership. Partner with Legal, Compliance, and People Operations to ensure fair and legally compliant processes.
Requirements
- 8+ years of deep HR generalist experience
- Deep California employment law expertise
- Knowledge of employment law across multiple U.S. states
- Experience with California labor laws, wage-and-hour regulations, and CRD compliance frameworks
- Exceptional communication and conflict resolution skills
- Strong listening, relationship-building, and trust-building skills
- Willingness to travel periodically, approximately 25%
- Must be based in Sunnyvale or San Francisco, California
Responsibilities
- Conduct internal investigations into workplace complaints and concerns
- Manage sensitive and confidential employee matters
- Document cases accurately and resolve them fairly and promptly
- Partner with Legal, Compliance, and People Operations on workplace policies
- Track historical cases to ensure consistent outcomes
- Advise managers and People Success Partners on employee situations and policy questions
- Guide leadership on California labor law requirements
- Deliver manager training on conflict resolution and documentation
- Identify early signs of morale issues and cultural strain
- Report workplace trends and insights to leadership
