About the Role

You will manage the end-to-end accounting lifecycle for derivatives and hedging relationships across client portfolios. You will prepare hedge documentation, test effectiveness, create journal entries and disclosures, advise stakeholders, support audits, and improve technical accounting methodologies.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of hands-on derivative instruments and hedge accounting experience
  • Technical fluency in ASC 815 and IFRS 9
  • Experience with fair value measurement under ASC 820 and IFRS 13
  • Familiarity with derivative valuation methodologies
  • Ability to manage multiple client engagements and tight deadlines
  • Ability to communicate complex accounting conclusions to non-technical audiences

Responsibilities

  • Manage end-to-end derivative accounting for client portfolios
  • Prepare and review hedge documentation, designation memos, and risk management objectives
  • Perform prospective and retrospective hedge effectiveness assessments
  • Prepare journal entries and financial-statement disclosures for hedging activities
  • Apply judgment to hedge accounting elections and de-designation scenarios
  • Translate FASB and IASB guidance into actionable impact summaries
  • Prepare audit work products and engage with external auditors
  • Improve internal methodologies, templates, and technical guidance
