About the Role
You will perform daily bank reconciliations and support month-end close activities, including journal entries and account reconciliations. You will investigate discrepancies, maintain accounting documentation, assist with external audits, and complete ad hoc Finance projects.
Requirements
- Pursue a degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- Have a solid grasp of basic accounting principles and financial statements
- Be proficient in Microsoft Office software with intermediate Excel skills
- Demonstrate analytical skills and attention to detail
- Demonstrate verbal and written communication skills
- Be able to work independently and collaboratively
- Be available to work approximately 15 hours per week in the Chicago office during the academic term
- Have legal authorization to work in the United States on the first day of employment
Responsibilities
- Perform daily bank reconciliations
- Support month-end close activities, including journal entries and account reconciliations
- Investigate discrepancies and propose solutions before escalating them
- Maintain organized accounting records and supporting documentation
- Support external audits
- Complete ad hoc Finance projects
