About the Role
You will be a senior member of M0's legal team, reporting to the Deputy COO, with primary responsibility for commercial contracting, corporate governance execution, fundraising, day-to-day legal support, and strategic projects. You will perform substantive legal work and help hire and develop the legal team as M0 scales.
Requirements
- J.D. from an accredited, top-tier law school.
- Member in good standing of a U.S. state bar, preferably New York.
- 7+ years of relevant legal experience, including training at a top-tier corporate or transactional law firm.
- In-house experience at a high-growth technology company, preferably in fintech or Web3, is strongly preferred.
- Track record of independently leading complex commercial and corporate transactions in technology, payments, and finance.
Responsibilities
- Serve as the in-house point of contact across commercial, corporate, and operational legal matters.
- Lead M&A, investments, joint ventures, and other strategic corporate initiatives from diligence through closing.
- Draft and negotiate tailored agreements with strategic partners and counterparties in finance, digital assets, and technology.
- Advise on IP, data protection, and regulatory matters implicated in agreements.
- Oversee corporate structuring, records, governance materials, and filings for global entities.
- Collaborate with finance, operations, product, and business development on transactional, equity, and token administration matters.
