About the Role
You will analyze balance-sheet and income-statement variances, record accruals and prepaids, maintain journal entries, and complete account reconciliations. You will support audit requests, research accounting issues under GAAP, lead stakeholder meetings, streamline data flows, and help automate monthly-close processes.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
- Three to five years of experience, preferably in public accounting and industry
- GAAP knowledge
- Analytical skills
- Organizational skills
- Process improvement experience
- Spreadsheet proficiency
- Financial close experience preferred
- Foreign entity accounting experience
Responsibilities
- Analyze monthly balance sheet and income statement fluctuations and variances
- Record and reconcile accrual and prepaid transactions
- Prepare and maintain journal entries, account reconciliations, and flux analysis
- Compile internal and external audit requests
- Research accounting issues and recommend GAAP-aligned practices
- Lead meetings with cross-department stakeholders
- Streamline accounting data flows and processes
- Assist with system automation projects
