About the Role
You will drive cost modeling and financial accuracy across capital projects. You will lead estimating, budgeting, and cash flow forecasting for data center projects, prepare MEP and mission-critical infrastructure estimates, evaluate proposals, develop cost reports, and improve estimating tools and processes.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Quantity Surveying, or a related field
- 10+ years of estimating and cost management experience supporting data centers, mission-critical facilities, or large-scale high-tech infrastructure projects
- Expertise in cost modeling, estimating, budgeting, forecasting, benchmarking, and cost management
- Deep technical knowledge of MEP systems and mission-critical infrastructure
- Proficiency with CostX, Sage Estimating, Bluebeam, Procore, or similar platforms
- Experience with procurement, bid evaluations, contractor selection, commercial analysis, and stakeholder decision-making
- Strong analytical, communication, financial reporting, and presentation skills
- Background with general contractors, owner’s representative firms, or technology and data center infrastructure
- AACE, RICS, CMAA, CCP, or equivalent certification is a plus
- Willingness to travel up to 25%, including internationally
Responsibilities
- Lead estimating, budgeting, and cash flow forecasting for data center projects
- Develop CAPEX cost models aligned with design, scope, funding, and business objectives
- Prepare estimates for MEP systems and mission-critical infrastructure
- Evaluate contractor and vendor proposals through benchmarking, bid leveling, and commercial analysis
- Assess cost variances from design changes, procurement risks, escalation, market conditions, and schedule shifts
- Deliver cost reports, dashboards, executive summaries, business cases, and funding analyses
- Build and maintain cost benchmarking databases, unit-rate libraries, labor productivity assumptions, escalation models, and market intelligence tools
- Support feasibility studies, preconstruction planning, value engineering, and cost optimization
- Establish scalable estimating tools and repeatable processes
- Maintain WBS structures, cost coding frameworks, and estimate-to-budget mappings
