About the Role
You will design scalable cloud infrastructure with Terraform and build CI/CD pipelines for secure infrastructure delivery. You will operate GCP data platform services support IAM and security controls lead incident response maintain internal developer tooling and onboard data and machine learning services. You will also use AI-assisted engineering tools and share effective practices with colleagues.
Requirements
- 8+ years of cloud infrastructure engineering experience
- Hands-on experience designing and administering complex GCP platforms
- Working knowledge of VPC VPCSC Direct Connect and IaaS and PaaS architecture
- Production-scale experience with BigQuery Dataflow Dataproc Cloud Storage and Pub/Sub
- Hands-on Terraform experience with multi-environment configuration management
- Experience building and maintaining GitLab CI/CD pipelines runners and merge request workflows
- Experience designing cloud IAM and access controls
- Experience working with data or machine learning engineering teams
- Consultative approach with nontechnical stakeholders
- AWS exposure is a bonus
- Backstage experience is a bonus
- Familiarity with medallion architecture lakehouse patterns Airflow or dbt is a bonus
- Databricks experience is a bonus
- Professional experience with AI coding assistants is a bonus
- Experience in regulated financial services is a bonus
Responsibilities
- Design scalable cloud infrastructure using Terraform
- Build optimize and maintain CI/CD pipelines
- Operate GCP data platform services including BigQuery Cloud Storage Dataflow Dataproc and Pub/Sub
- Support IAM service account design and least-privilege security
- Lead incident response and root cause analysis
- Participate in an on-call rota
- Maintain internal developer platform catalog entries templates and TechDocs
- Onboard data and machine learning services into the catalog
- Use AI-assisted engineering tools for infrastructure authoring code review and documentation
- Share AI engineering patterns and prompting approaches
