About the Role

You will lead business development for dreamDEX, owning relationships with market makers, institutions, builders, aggregators, wallets, and other distribution partners. You will source, structure, negotiate, close, and manage deals that increase liquidity, trading volume, and TVL. You will share market intelligence with product stakeholders, support wider Somnia business development where relevant, and represent dreamDEX and Somnia at industry conferences.

Requirements

• Business development experience at a crypto exchange covering market makers, institutional clients, or listings
• An established network across crypto and/or TradFi institutions, including trading firms, market makers, funds, prime brokers, and OTC desks
• Experience closing deals with measurable impact on volume, liquidity, or TVL
• Working understanding of exchange mechanics, including order books, spreads, depth, perps, margin, liquidations, market-maker economics, and incentive design
• Ability to run a full deal cycle independently, from sourcing through post-signature relationship management
• Comfort operating early in a venue's life and selling the roadmap as well as the product
• TradFi background in prime brokerage, electronic trading, or institutional sales
• Relationships with DEX aggregators, wallets, custodians, or vault operators
• Experience taking a new venue through cold start
• Experience structuring token or incentive-based deals
• Working knowledge of DeFi, including CLOB DEXs, vaults, stablecoins, and yield products
• Experience selling to DAOs and protocol treasuries

Responsibilities

• Own the market maker pipeline by sourcing, pitching, negotiating, and onboarding market makers
• Structure market-maker deals covering CLOB rewards, fee arrangements, and liquidity commitments
• Integrate dreamDEX with major spot and cross-chain aggregators and manage those relationships
• Build and activate an institutional pipeline across trading firms, funds, family offices, OTC desks, prime brokers, and custodians
• Provide white-glove onboarding for qualified institutions
• Build a builder pipeline across trading terminals, AI strategies, and native applications
• Close liquidity deals with institutional LPs, protocol and DAO treasuries, and vault operators
• Secure distribution partnerships with wallets, perp aggregators, and bridges
• Support broader Somnia business development involving ecosystem projects, stablecoin partners, and treasury deals
• Feed market intelligence and institutional requirements into the product roadmap
• Represent dreamDEX and Somnia at conferences and institutional meetings
