About the Role
You will investigate complex transaction-monitoring alerts and payment activity, prepare and recommend Suspicious Activity Reports, conduct due diligence, and review customer risk profiles. You will improve monitoring rules, guide junior investigators, support compliance initiatives, and maintain knowledge of financial-crime regulations.
Requirements
- 4+ years of hands-on AML experience
- In-depth knowledge of BSA/AML laws and regulations, including the Bank Secrecy Act, USA PATRIOT Act, and OFAC sanctions
- Familiarity with regulatory bodies such as FinCEN and FATF
- Ability to manage competing priorities and collaborate across global teams
- Analytical problem-solving skills
- Verbal, written, presentation, and stakeholder-influencing skills
- Ability to adapt to evolving technologies, regulations, and business needs
- U.S. citizenship, U.S. nationality, lawful permanent residency, refugee or asylee status, or eligibility for required U.S. Department of State authorizations
Responsibilities
- Investigate and resolve complex transaction-monitoring alerts and cases
- Analyze payment flows and user behaviors
- Prepare, review, and recommend Suspicious Activity Report filings
- Assist with KYC and onboarding matters
- Conduct enhanced due diligence on high-risk users and transactions
- Review customer risk profiles and recommend risk-rating adjustments
- Tune transaction-monitoring rules and scenarios
- Mentor junior team members on investigations and regulatory requirements
- Collaborate on compliance initiatives and product launches
- Maintain expertise in BSA/AML, OFAC, FinCEN, and payment-industry financial-crime trends
