About the Role

You will design, build, ship, and operate services across quoting, pricing, spread application, and trade lifecycle management. You will expose trading capabilities through GUI, APIs, and conversational AI; ensure resilience and observability; mentor engineers; and support on-call incident response.

Requirements

  • 4–6 years of production backend systems experience
  • Trading, exchange, or brokerage experience on a live trade or order path
  • Knowledge of system design, data modelling, API design, and distributed systems
  • Knowledge of object-oriented programming and low-level design patterns
  • Experience with observability, debugging, performance tuning, and incident response

Responsibilities

  • Design, build, and operate services for quoting, pricing, spread application, and trade lifecycle management
  • Own features from scoping and technical design through rollout and operational health
  • Build for correctness and latency on the live trade path
  • Instrument services with logging, metrics, and alerting
  • Design retries, idempotency, and safe recovery paths
  • Expose trading capabilities through GUI, public APIs, and conversational AI
  • Review code, provide design feedback, and mentor L1 and L2 engineers
  • Participate in on-call and turn post-mortems into durable fixes
