About the Role
You will build and operate backend systems for ChatGPT image generation and editing. You will develop scalable APIs, services, storage, orchestration, and distributed infrastructure; improve reliability, latency, throughput, and cost; productionize new capabilities; and use data to improve product and system performance.
Requirements
- Experience building and operating large-scale backend or distributed systems
- Proficiency in modern backend technologies and cloud-native architectures
- Experience designing APIs, service-oriented architectures, and reliable production systems
- Analytical ability to use data for technical and product decisions
- Knowledge of multimodal AI
Responsibilities
- Design, build, and operate backend systems for image generation and editing
- Develop scalable APIs, services, and infrastructure for multimodal AI workflows
- Optimize reliability, latency, throughput, and cost across distributed systems
- Partner with researchers to productionize image-generation capabilities
- Collaborate with mobile, web, and full-stack engineers
- Drive architecture decisions across storage, serving, orchestration, and platform systems
- Use data and experimentation to improve user experience and system efficiency
- Provide technical leadership, mentorship, and operational excellence
