About the Role
You will investigate escalated financial-crime cases across transaction monitoring, fraud, market surveillance, and sanctions screening. You will analyze customer activity, prepare SARs or documented declinations, support law-enforcement requests, review analyst work, and create training materials for complex investigations.
Requirements
- 4+ years of hands-on AML investigation experience
- Experience writing SARs filed with FinCEN
- Knowledge of the Bank Secrecy Act, SAR filing requirements, and AML regulations
- Experience analyzing activity across multiple payment rails
- SAR narrative writing skills
- Experience with CLEAR or LexisNexis
- Experience with case management systems
- Experience independently managing a caseload and meeting deadlines
Responsibilities
- Investigate escalated cases for money laundering, terrorist financing, fraud, and sanctions evasion
- Analyze funding, withdrawal, trading, and linked-account activity
- Prepare Suspicious Activity Reports and document decisions when no SAR is needed
- Review customer identity and profile information
- Support law-enforcement requests, subpoenas, and 314(a) reviews
- Perform quality-control reviews of analyst work
- Provide analysts with feedback on complex cases
- Develop job aids and training materials
